The demo is hither and yon. XBox Live, PS3 online…you name it. The problem is that this is my last semester, and I’m taking 18 credits, so I don’t have time to sit down and examine right now. Share your thoughts. If you want to write up a semi-review, I will edit it into the post, or you can just leave your reactions. Whatever you choose, help a fellow gamer here.

Some subtle gameplay improvements contribute to enhanced realism. However, too similar to ‘09 for me to ungrudgingly give up $60 for it.

everything feels alot heavier. that’s a good thing. the ball flight seems more realistic, it takes more deflections etc. lots more curve on the ball. the animations and running styles and collisions are all pretty awesome.

I echo George: good, solid improvements, but not enough to warrant buying it if you already have FIFA 09 and a *maybe* if you have FIFA 08. Before that, and this is definitely worth it.
Personally, I’m sticking with FIFA 09 and hoping (demanding damn it!) that FIFA 10’s improvements will make their way to the FIFA 2010 World Cup videogame (btw, no info on that?).

Agree with Matt, some good animations here and there. Goals are much easier to score than before. The game speed doesn’t adjust just yet, well at least I couldn’t see the difference between slow/normal/fast. Some player ratings are a bit strange (Peter Cech – 64), but I guess it’s a glitch, and most of them will be fixed before the release. The UK version has got Martin Tyler and Andy Gray as commentators, but sadly, I didn’t hear anything new from them, same old Fifa 08 lines. Overall, I think it’s still not a major improvement over Fifa 09 (as far as the demo goes), then again, the same goes to 08-09 series, 07-08 and so on, but I guess I might just buy this one.

I’ll buy it just to get away from the cheaters in 09… When EA unloaded the ultimate team update they opened the door to alot of hacks online.
In 10 the dribbling seems more fluid, during runs the players seems to have more momentum. Shooting seems heavier (Chip shots especially) and the game play somehow feels faster. I don’t like it right now because I need a few hours to feel the game out and get the players to do what I want.
The biggest change is in the passing I think. in 08 and 09 you could pinpoint your passes no matter what the passer was doing. in 10 the accuracy of the pass depends alot on what the player is doing. Full run and trying to do a direct pass to a player 30 yards to the right of you might see some interesting results.

guys the goalkeepers positioning is all turned way down in the demo. buffon is a 66 if you didnt notice. thats why its so easy to score. and yea, sause. the whole cheat thing is ridiculous in 09. ive never seen more cheaters in a single game.
