Mike Tyson Is Back! Fight Night Round 4!
By: Dave Martinez | May 8th, 2008
Boxings Face for nearly two decades Mike Tyson returns to the virtual arena
I havent been this excited since I took him out with Little Mac back in 1990!
Fight Night 4 has already made quite a splash, announcing the addition of Iron Mike Tyson to their stable of virtual fighters. Which suits me just fine - I hate having to create him with every new version of that game they put out. Now if they can just find it in them to add Rocky Balboa, Ivan Drago, Apollo Creed, Tommy The Machine Gunn and Mason Dixon, my boxing creation days would be over.
Fight Night is expected to be released sometime in 2009, and this is one boxing afficionado that can not wait! The minute I can get my hands on some screenshots and trailers, our readers will be the first to see it. And once the game is in my hands, I am letting the computer duke it out - Ali v. Tyson - to settle the score.
Ill keep you updated.

I think Mike Tyson’s punch out might have been my favorite game for the original NES. That game was awesome.

jz - I am so with you. I could NEVER beat Mike - and when I finally did, I swear I could have died happy.
Used to love fighting Bald Bull, Mr Sandman, Soda Popinski . . . good times.

I am a huge boxing fan and I love Fight Night, but there is only so many times you can fight the classic fights.
It’s about time they get some new fighters into the game. I mean there is no reason they can’t have the likes of Judah, Spinks, Calzaghe, Kessler, etc. They just need some more names in there to make it interesting.

I kind of compare that problem to FIFA - when you are dealing with high profile names, agents, conferences, stables - it makes it harder to sign certain teams, or in this case, boxers, on to a game.
Have you ever played FIFA with The Netherlands? Go laugh at the fake names.
But you are right. The new fighters need more rep - because lets face it, with the industry the way it is, they need exposure and help of any sort.
