Screenshots – UEFA EURO 2008 – Austria / Switzerland

By: Dave Martinez | April 18th, 2008

THE GAME

The fine folks over at EA Sports sent us over these beautiful gifts:
A bunch of screenshots for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2008 game!

With about a month of waiting still to do, these will wet your appetite even more.

First thing I notice from these pics? They are all either under cloudy skies, grey skies or rain. Gearing this product to the European game much?

The graphics already seem more fine tuned than the current FIFA product. Then again, who can judge just yet?

Anyone up for a Euro Offside Cup?

I call dibs on Argentina. Oh wait . . .

If you do a Euro, Portugal is taken. By me. Clearly.

Greg, consider your spot secured. What system do you play on?

If we do an XBOX tourney (or PS3 – I can get that easy too), I got dibs on Croatia.

It seems like EA used UEFA to throw in some features that didn’t make it into 08. Play the demo – I was really impressed with some visual stuff like shots of managers when the ball is out of play. Is this a signal of things to come in 09?

Lee – most definitely. As a matter of fact, that was EXACTLY what I was told by EA. So just imagine how FIFA 09 is going to look . . .

I’m already on the bandwagon for 09 – just more so now! Great research Dave!

I’m game for the tourney – I’ll take England. Err…. Actually, it’s probably fitting that I’m mediocre with the game and England… well, yeah.

Sheps – lucky dawg – Its not released stateside yet. When it is, Ill actually have it a bit earlier. I would say if we give people time to buy the damn game, I wouldnt be opposed to a UEFA tourney come June.

And I will be making two of em – 360 and PS3

Well I got mine as my PS3 60gb laser went, so they gave me 40gb replacement and one game. Saw UEFA sitting there and couldn’t resist! I’ve not played the FIFA game this year so can’t compare it to that but the Be A Pro and Captain Your Country modes are awesome. You do more than control one player – you can tell the other guys to shoot or give you a through ball or pass.

Looking forward to a tournament, and definitely recommend buying this game – especially all Pro Evo fans who are blinded to the fact that game is now pretty tank compared to FIFA, as I was until the weekend!

You are doing a Euro tourney to coincide with reality, right? I’d say that’s a must.

I could always try doing that, but peoples lives are so busy, it just might not work out that way.

Besides, some will probably be watching and not be interested in playing before, during, or after the match.
